Dental Crowns are necessary after a tooth has had soo much decay or breakdown, that a filling will no longer work to restore the tooth. A Dental Crown may also be needed for cracked teeth, teeth that have had a root canal, and for cosmetic and functional reasons. The Dental Crown will take two appointments, the first appointment, the tooth will be prepared for the crown, an impression of the tooth taken, and a temporary crown placed. The second appointment two weeks later, the dental crown will be adjusted and cemented permanently.

Dental Crowns are made of ceramic, porcelain fused to ceramic, metal, or porcelain fused to metal.
